Contestants must pre-register to compete. Cost of registration is $50, a tax-deductible donation payable to No Kid Hungry to be collected at the time of the competition.

Compete to become a Wild Card Bartender in KC's most epic cocktail battle!

Bartenders  will compete by creating a Gin & Tonic using sponsor J. Rieger & Co. Gin. Complete rules will be provided to bartenders.

Judges will evaluate based on: 

Creation of Cocktail: visual appeal, balance of flavors and taste, creativity/originality, inventive use of key ingredients

Knowledge & Skills:  Ability under pressure, knowledge of spirit categories, knowledge of cocktails, their principal and history.

A  "People's Choice" bartender will also be recognized, based on the greatest amount of tips or tickets donated to each bartending contestant.  All "tips" will benefit No Kid Hungry!

Winner(s) will compete at the Country Brunch and Bloody Mary SmackDown on October 8th at The Guild Event Space, 1621 Locust, from 11:00a-3:00p!

All competitors will be awarded with one General Admission ticket to the Country Brunch & Bloody Mary Smackdown to attend or share with a friend!

Guests will be charged a $10 at the door, in exchange for one drink ticket redeemable for craft beer of the day or a signature cocktail, and one ticket to vote for their favorite bartender.

Additional tickets to be used as "tips" for bartending contestants may be purchased on site. Competitors should encourage their friends and coworkers to attend and VOTE!
